The Doylestown DART program offers affordable transportation options for older adults, persons with disabilities, and participants in the Medical Assistance Transportation Program. Older adults aged 65 and over receive a discounted fare, paying only 15% of the general public rate. Those with disabilities are also eligible for reduced fares, while participants in the Medical Assistance Transportation Program ride for free. This public transit program operates via bus or train, following fixed routes on a set schedule for reliability. Payment for the program can be made by cash, check, or pre-payment, providing flexibility for older adults in managing their transportation needs.
