Dignified Senior Transportation is a comprehensive non-emergency medical transportation program that caters to the transportation needs of older adults. This program offers convenient transportation solutions through taxi services, public transit options like buses and trains, as well as private car rides. With a focus on accessibility, the program ensures that older adults can schedule rides in advance, ranging from same-day service to reservations made up to a week prior. To make the service financially feasible for older adults, Dignified Senior Transportation offers various payment options, including insurance coverage, Medicaid payments, cash, check, credit card payments, as well as pre-payment. While the program is free of charge, there is a suggested donation amount of $1.50 per round trip for medical appointments and shopping trips. Additionally, the program accepts vouchers, coupons, and donations to support its operations. Recognizing the diverse needs of older adults, Dignified Senior Transportation provides additional services such as paratransit for individuals with mobility challenges, assistance with packages or bags, and the option for riders to be accompanied by service animals. Moreover, the program offers door-to-door, curb-to-curb, and shared ride transportation, ensuring older adults can travel comfortably and confidently to their desired destinations.
