Oregon Project Independent (OPI) is a transportation service tailored for older adults in Oregon. Through OPI, older adults can access affordable rides charged at an hourly rate. This program offers convenient transportation options via car and van, allowing riders to reach their destinations safely and comfortably. One of the key features of the OPI program is its flexibility in payment options. Accepting Medicaid payments and considering household income and qualified medical expenses, OPI may require an hourly co-payment. Riders have the convenience of pre-paying for their rides, making the process smoother and hassle-free. To ensure a seamless experience, riders are encouraged to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance, with the option of shared rides for added affordability.
