Learn More About This Program

Please make sure to contact Impact NW: Transportation Assistance Program to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Transportation Assistance Program offers a much-needed solution for older adults who may face challenges in getting to appointments, running errands, or attending social activities independently. This program relies on donated resources to provide car transportation services for older adults who are eligible. The program offers free transportation for qualifying individuals, while those with income may benefit from low-cost rides on a sliding scale basis. Riders are required to book their trips in advance, providing them with the convenience of planning ahead for their transportation needs. The program allows for payment by check or cash, ensuring flexibility for riders to choose their preferred method. Additionally, the service includes shared van rides to accommodate multiple passengers, promoting a sense of community among older adults who may use the program. When scheduling their rides, participants are encouraged to consider Rides In Advance to ensure timely and efficient transportation arrangements. With a focus on providing curb-to-curb service, the Transportation Assistance Program aims to support older adults in maintaining their independence and staying connected to their community.
