Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Van Service program offers older adults the opportunity to access transportation services with ease and convenience. This service, funded through donations, allows older adults to schedule shared rides via van at no cost, although donations are encouraged to support the program. By providing curb-to-curb transportation, the Van Service ensures that older adults can safely and comfortably reach their destinations. To utilize this service, riders simply need to schedule their rides a few days in advance, allowing for efficient trip planning and accommodating the needs of older adults in the community. Whether it's a ride to a medical appointment, the grocery store, or social activities, the Van Service program is designed to support older adults in maintaining their independence and staying connected with their community.
