Dial-A-Ride is a convenient public transit program designed to provide transportation options for older adults and individuals with disabilities within the community. With a simple flat fee structure, riders can enjoy affordable transportation, with seniors and disabled persons benefiting from a reduced fare of $2.50 per one-way trip, as opposed to the standard $10.00 fare.
To make use of the services provided by Dial-A-Ride, riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, allowing for efficient planning and coordination. This program offers shared rides, making it a cost-effective option for those looking to reach their destinations while also allowing for social interaction during the journey.
Dial-A-Ride operates using vans to provide curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring that riders can be conveniently picked up and dropped off at their desired locations. Additionally, riders are permitted to travel with their service animals, providing assistance and support throughout their journey. Accepted forms of payment include cash and check, with the option for pre-payment to streamline the process and make accessing transportation services as smooth as possible for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
