Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Assistance Program offers affordable transportation options for older adults residing in Newark-Heath and Licking County. Riders can access this service by making a suggested donation of $2.50 for one-way trips within Newark-Heath, $5.00 for destinations within Licking County, and $10.00 for trips outside the county. Scheduling rides in advance is required, ensuring that older adults have the transportation they need when they need it.
This program facilitates shared van rides, promoting a sense of community among passengers while reducing costs for individual travelers. The service operates on a curb-to-curb basis, providing older adults with convenient transportation to their desired destinations. Additionally, for medical appointments, riders are encouraged to notify the program at least two weeks in advance to secure the necessary accommodations.
