Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 65+ years old, or you have a disability.
The Transportation Program offers a convenient and reliable way for older adults to travel for non-emergency medical appointments, errands, social outings, or other transportation needs. This program provides transportation services through taxis, buses, trains, and vans, catering to older adults who require assistance getting to their destinations.
Riders can schedule their trips at least a day in advance and have the option to pay for the services using insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or other payment methods such as cash, credit card, or pre-payment. There is a suggested donation of $1 for all trips, making the program accessible to those with various financial situations. The program also offers the flexibility of on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and the option for the driver to wait for passengers during appointments or errands.
Additionally, the Transportation Program ensures that older adults receive door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, accommodating those with mobility challenges. Service animals are welcome on the rides, and the program prioritizes the comfort and safety of its riders. Whether it's a one-time trip or a recurring transportation need, this program aims to provide older adults with a convenient and affordable way to stay connected and independent within their community.
