Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Transportation program offers a convenient and affordable way for older adults to get around. Operating on weekdays from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm, rides during these hours are completely free of charge. For evening and weekend transportation needs, such as on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm to 9:30 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 3:30 pm, there is a nominal fee of $4 for a one-way trip or $6 for a round trip.
Riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, allowing for proper arrangement and coordination. Payments are accepted via check, ensuring a hassle-free transaction process. The program provides shared van rides, promoting a sense of community among passengers. Additionally, riders are welcome to bring their service animals along for the journey.
Overall, the Transportation program offers older adults a reliable and cost-effective transportation solution, with various options available to accommodate different schedules and needs.
