The Public Transportation/Demand Response program offers transportation services for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and the general adult population at a pricing of $6.00 one way for adults and $3.00 one way for those who have applied and qualify as Seniors & Disabled. This program operates on a reservation basis, requiring riders to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days prior to their desired travel date. Payment for this service can be made by check or in cash. Rides provided through this program are shared, commonly utilizing vans for transportation. The program offers curb-to-curb service, ensuring passengers are picked up and dropped off at convenient locations. Additionally, riders are allowed to bring their service animals with them for the journey. When arranging transportation through this program, passengers should factor in the lead time required for scheduling and the shared ride nature of the service.
