The Senior Transportation program offers a crucial service for older adults in the community, ensuring they have access to transportation for their needs. This program operates on a donation basis, where clients can contribute towards their rides but will not be denied service if they are unable to donate. Rides must be scheduled in advance, typically a few days prior, and the program offers shared van rides for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Transportation is provided from curb to curb, allowing older adults to be picked up and dropped off conveniently at their desired locations. This service aims to support older adults in maintaining their independence by providing a reliable and accessible means of transportation for various purposes such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
