The Transportation Assistance Program offers affordable transportation options for older adults in the community. For a suggested contribution of just $.25 per one-way trip in a regular van, or $5 per round trip in a medical van, older adults can access safe and reliable transportation services. There is also an option for rides outside the county for a flat fee of $6 round trip. To utilize this program, older adults need to schedule their rides in advance, with a recommendation to book as early as possible. Payments for the rides can be made using checks or cash, providing flexibility for the riders. The program offers convenient curb-to-curb transportation services, ensuring that older adults can easily access essential medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social engagements.
