The On Demand Public Transit program is a convenient and affordable transportation option for older adults. This public transit program offers rides via bus or train at a cost of $3.00 for adults and $1.50 for those eligible for reduced fare. To utilize this service, older adults need to schedule their rides a few days in advance, allowing for proper planning of their travel needs. Riders have the flexibility to pre-pay for their trips using a credit card or cash, providing added convenience. Additionally, the program offers shared rides, promoting a sense of community among passengers. With curb-to-curb transportation services, older adults can rely on this program to help them reach their destinations safely and comfortably. Whether running errands, attending appointments, or socializing with friends, the On Demand Public Transit program is designed to meet the diverse transportation needs of older adults while ensuring a reliable and accessible way to travel within the community.


Service Area

RTS On Demand can take you anywhere within one of our seven On Demand Zones in Monroe County. On Demand zones are located within Brockport, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Lexington Ave, Pittsford/Eastview, and Webster. Pick up is available on either side of the street at the zone border.
