Please make sure to contact Visiting Neighbors: Shop & Escort Service to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.

The Shop & Escort Service program offers private car rides to older adults who need assistance with shopping errands and transportation. The program is funded by donations and operates on a voluntary contribution basis, with a suggested donation of $5 for each shop-and-escort errand. However, there are no mandatory fees for using the service. Riders can expect door-to-door transportation and assistance with carrying packages or bags. To utilize this program, older adults are required to schedule rides in advance, typically a few days ahead of the desired transport date. This service aims to provide a convenient and cost-free transportation option for older adults who may need support with their shopping trips.
