The Medical Transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation services for older adults who need private rides to medical appointments. Participants can benefit from this program by utilizing Medicaid payments for transportation services. The program's pricing includes $37.50 for a one-way trip, $75.00 for a round trip, and $1.50 per mile for distances exceeding 11 miles. Riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand. Conveniently, the program accepts payments via credit card or cash for ease of transaction. Transportation is provided using vans, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for older adults. The program adopts a per-mile pricing model, making it cost-effective for older adults who may need to travel longer distances to reach their medical appointments.
