Paratransit Services offer convenient transportation options for older adults who may have difficulty using traditional public transportation. This program provides door-to-door service, allowing older adults to schedule rides in advance to ensure they can reach their destinations on time. Paratransit Services use vans to provide shared rides, making it a cost-effective and social mode of transportation. Rides through this program cost $3.25 one-way and can be paid for with either cash or check. Older adults have the option to pre-pay for their rides, simplifying the process and eliminating the need for exact change. Service animals are permitted on board, ensuring that older adults can travel with their necessary companions. By offering reliable and accessible transportation, Paratransit Services cater to the diverse needs of older adults, enhancing their independence and making it easier for them to participate in community activities and access essential services.
