The Paratransit Access Line (PAL) program offers convenient transportation services for those who require assistance in getting to their destinations. This paratransit program utilizes buses or trains to provide flexible and accessible transit options for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Riders have the option to schedule their rides in advance, ensuring a smooth and reliable transportation experience. PAL operates on a flat fee structure, with the pricing details set at $4 each way. Riders can also apply for a reduced fare card to further benefit from cost savings. Additionally, PAL offers a PAL Pass option, providing 10 or 20 trips at discounted rates of $35 and $70, respectively. Payment can be made using various methods such as cash, check, credit card, or pre-payment, offering flexibility and convenience to riders. Furthermore, PAL prioritizes the comfort and safety of its passengers by providing curb-to-curb transportation services. Service animals are welcomed aboard, and shared rides may be arranged to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. By offering a range of payment options and accommodating various needs, the PAL program strives to make transportation more accessible and inclusive for all individuals in need of paratransit services.


Service Area

PAL service that is comparable to the level of service offered on its fixed route bus and rail systems. The complementary PAL service is provided within 3/4 of a mile of an NFTA-Metro bus route or rail station during the same hours and on the same days as the NFTA-Metro fixed route service.
