Please make sure to contact Rural Transit: Transportation Service to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability, or you have no other means of transportation. No membership is required.

The Transportation Service program offers older adults the convenience of van transportation for their essential trips. This service operates on a donation basis, with a suggested contribution of $3 for a round trip. The program supports paratransit needs and offers shared rides, making it a cost-effective option for older adults to access transportation services. Riders using the Transportation Service are required to schedule their trips in advance, usually a few days beforehand. The program ensures that older adults receive curb-to-curb transportation, providing them with a seamless and convenient way to travel to their desired destinations, whether it be for medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings. Best of all, this valuable service is provided free of charge, offering older adults a reliable and affordable means of getting around town while maintaining their independence.
