Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old.
The Adult Transportation program offers convenient and affordable transportation services to support individuals in the community who may need assistance getting to medical appointments, grocery stores, or other essential destinations. This program, funded through donations, provides door-to-door transportation using cars driven by friendly and reliable volunteers.
Riders utilizing this program are encouraged to contribute a suggested donation of $.50 for each trip, making it a cost-effective option for older adults on a budget. To ensure a smooth experience, riders are required to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance, allowing for proper coordination with available drivers. It is recommended to schedule rides at least 24 hours in advance to secure a spot and make the most of this valuable transportation service.
By participating in the Adult Transportation program, older adults can maintain their independence and access the transportation they need to stay connected and engaged in their community. This initiative not only provides practical support but also fosters a sense of community and care among participants and volunteers alike.
