The Senior and Disabled Transportation program provides non-emergency medical transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities. This program offers transportation via taxi, car, bus, train, van, or rideshare service, ensuring flexibility in meeting the unique needs of riders. Riders can schedule their transportation needs in advance, ranging from one day to one week, depending on the requirements. In addition to providing door-to-door, curb-to-curb, or shared rides, this program also offers assistance with packages or bags and allows service animals to accompany riders. Pricing for this program is structured with options such as hourly rates, flat fees, or payments by the mile. Payment methods including insurance, vouchers, donations, checks, credit cards, cash, or Medicaid are accepted, and some cases may even qualify for free transportation services. Overall, this program aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing reliable and accessible transportation options to support their daily needs, errands, appointments, and social engagements.
