Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a community-driven program designed to offer support with transportation needs to older adults. Through generous donations from individuals, private car rides are provided to older adults who require assistance getting to appointments, running errands, or attending social activities. The program operates on a volunteer basis, with no payment exchanged for the services provided. While volunteers cannot accept payment for their assistance, they may accept charitable donations to support the program's sustainability and growth. Riders are not only given a ride to their destination but are also assisted with packages or bags as needed. To ensure a seamless experience, older adults are encouraged to schedule their rides a few days in advance to allow for proper coordination. Neighbors Helping Neighbors emphasizes the importance of connecting older adults with reliable transportation options, enabling them to maintain independence and stay engaged with their community. If you or an older adult you know could benefit from this program, consider reaching out to schedule a ride and experience the support of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
