The Non-Emergency Medical Appointments program is designed to provide older adults with safe and reliable transportation to their medical appointments. This program offers private rides in vans, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free journey. Riders can schedule their transportation in advance, allowing them to plan their trips with ease. The pricing details are reasonable, with a flat rate of $10.00 for the first 3 miles and $2.50 for every mile thereafter. Additionally, there is a wait charge of $7.50 for every 15 minutes, providing flexibility for appointments that may run longer than expected. Payments can be conveniently made by cash, check, or credit card, making it accessible for all participants. The program's door-to-door transportation service ensures that older adults are safely escorted to and from their appointments, giving them peace of mind during their travels.
