Learn More About This Program

Please make sure to contact Grafton County Senior Citizens Council: Senior Transportation to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Senior Transportation program offers a convenient and affordable transportation option for older adults in the community. Riders can access this service by making a suggested donation based on the distance traveled, with rates ranging from $1.50 for trips up to 5 miles, $2 for 6-10 miles, and $3 for 11-20 miles. This flexible payment system ensures that older adults can comfortably afford the transportation they need. To utilize the program, older adults simply need to schedule their rides a few days in advance, allowing for proper planning and coordination. Payment can be made through various methods, including checks, credit cards, or cash, providing riders with options that suit their preferences. The shared van rides offered by the program not only make transportation more cost-effective but also promote a sense of community among older adults who may be traveling to similar destinations. One of the key benefits of the Senior Transportation program is its door-to-door service, ensuring that older adults can be picked up and dropped off directly at their desired locations. This personalized approach prioritizes the comfort and convenience of older adults, making it easier for them to access essential services, attend appointments, and engage in social activities.
