Para-Express is a convenient transportation program designed for individuals requiring paratransit services. With a flat rate of $2 per one-way trip, it offers an affordable and reliable option for older adults with mobility needs. Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s) can accompany riders at no additional cost, ensuring necessary assistance is readily available during the journey. Companions are also welcome to join, provided there is space in the vehicle and they share the same pick-up and drop-off locations. A fare of $2 per one-way trip applies to companions. To utilize this service, riders need to schedule their trips in advance, allowing for efficient planning and coordination of transportation needs. Payment can be made using checks or cash, with the option for pre-payment for added convenience.
