GoWake Access is a non-emergency medical transportation program that provides convenient and reliable transportation services for older adults. This program offers transportation via taxi, allowing older adults to schedule rides at least one day in advance. GoWake Access accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, and donations. There is a membership fee and a flat fee for rides, with pricing details of $2 for trips within the same city and $4 for trips to a different town or city.
Additionally, GoWake Access is a paratransit program that assists riders with packages or bags, providing private rides in cars and vans. This program accepts Medicaid payments and offers on-demand scheduling for shared rides. GoWake Access ensures accessibility by providing door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services. Riders are allowed to bring their service animals on board. GoWake Access offers flexibility by allowing pre-payment and accepting payment in cash, check, or credit card. With a focus on meeting the unique transportation needs of older adults, GoWake Access provides a driver who can wait for the passenger during errands or appointments, making travel more convenient and stress-free.
