Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.
Trailblazer Routes is a non-emergency medical transportation program that offers door-to-door transportation services to older adults via taxi or car. This public transit program allows for on-demand scheduling, where riders can schedule rides at least one day in advance or even a few days in advance. Trailblazer Routes charges an hourly rate or a flat fee for their services, which can be paid for using insurance, Medicaid payments, vouchers, donations, checks, credit cards, pre-payment, or cash.
Additionally, Trailblazer Routes is a paratransit program that provides shared rides and assistance with packages or bags. Riders are offered the convenience of a driver who can wait for them during errands or appointments. The program ensures accessibility by permitting service animals on board and providing curb-to-curb or door-to-door transportation as needed. Whether older adults require transportation for medical appointments, shopping trips, or other essential errands, Trailblazer Routes aims to provide a reliable and flexible transportation option tailored to their needs.
