To access this program, riders can pay using various methods, including insurance, vouchers, donations, or by a flat fee per one-way ride. Additionally, Medicaid payments and credit card transactions are accepted for added convenience. MET Special Transit also offers assistance with packages and bags, making it easier for older adults to travel with belongings.
With features such as door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, accommodating service animals, and the provision for drivers to wait during appointments, MET Special Transit ensures a safe and reliable travel experience for older adults seeking affordable and accessible transportation options.
