The Senior Express Transportation Program offers non-emergency medical transportation for older adults through a public transit service utilizing taxis. Riders need to schedule their trips in advance, with the option to pay through insurance, vouchers, donations, or a membership fee. The program features a flat fee structure of $25 for 5 rides or $40 for 8 rides and accepts Medicaid payments as well. Riders can arrange for private car services, with the flexibility of on-demand scheduling for shared rides using vans, buses, or trains.
Additionally, the program provides various conveniences like assistance with packages, an option for drivers to wait during errands or appointments, and acceptance of a wide range of payment methods including credit cards, checks, or cash.
