Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Senior Transportation program offers a convenient option for older adults in need of non-emergency medical transportation. Operating on an hourly rate basis, this program utilizes taxi services for public transit, ensuring older adults can schedule rides at least one day in advance. Payment options include insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and membership fees, with the program also accepting Medicaid payments and offering suggested donations based on trip length. Additionally, riders can enjoy the flexibility of on-demand scheduling for private or shared rides via car, van, bus, or train.
For added convenience, the program provides door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation, accommodating service animals and assisting riders with packages. Whether running errands or attending appointments, older adults can rely on the program's trained drivers who are willing to wait during stops. With the option to pay by cash, check, credit card, or pre-payment, this paratransit program caters to a range of needs, following fixed routes and offering fixed schedule transportation as well. Riders have the flexibility to book rides several days in advance, providing a reliable and accessible transportation solution for older adults.
