This program offers convenient door-to-door transportation via taxi, allowing individuals to travel to medical appointments, run errands, attend social engagements, and more. Riders have the flexibility to schedule rides in advance, with options for scheduling on-demand trips as well.
One of the highlights of this program is its affordability and various payment options. Riders can make payments through insurance, vouchers, coupons, Medicaid, credit cards, checks, or even cash. The pricing is structured based on individual needs, with a flat fee of $7 each way for ambulatory passengers and $10 each way for those requiring a wheelchair lift.
Additionally, Assisted Transportation provides paratransit services, ensuring that older adults with varying mobility needs can access transportation easily. The program operates on a fixed schedule, offering shared rides and private car services along fixed routes. Riders can also benefit from additional assistance, such as having the driver wait for them during appointments or errands. Service animals are welcome, and riders are supported with luggage and package handling throughout their journey.
