Learn More About This Program

Please make sure to contact Winona Transit Service: Dial-A-Ride (DAR) to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.

Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a flexible transportation service designed for individuals seeking convenient and reliable travel options. As a paratransit program, DAR offers door-to-door transportation, ensuring that older adults can easily access the rides they need within their community. Unlike traditional public transportation services, DAR allows riders to schedule their trips in advance, providing the peace of mind of knowing that transportation is secured for upcoming appointments or social activities. With DAR, older adults have the convenience of paying for rides using a variety of methods, including cash, check, and credit card payments. While there are no specific discounts offered for older adults or individuals with disabilities, the program maintains an affordable flat rate of $2.50 per ride, making it an accessible option for all community members. Additionally, DAR offers shared ride services, allowing older adults to connect with others in their area and reduce transportation costs. For those looking for a convenient and user-friendly transportation option, Dial-A-Ride (DAR) provides a reliable solution for older adults seeking efficient and affordable ways to navigate their community.

Service Area

The DAR bus will not travel within four blocks of one of the City's four route lines unless the passenger is traveling to somewhere more than four blocks off of the route line. DAR cannot be a substitute for riding on a regular route. The bus will travel up to 2 miles outside Winona and Goodview.
