Dial-A-Ride is a transportation benefit program available for older adults that provides convenient and affordable rides within urban and rural areas. With the option to make advanced or same-day reservations, older adults can easily plan their trips to medical appointments, social outings, or grocery shopping. The program offers cost-effective pricing, with advanced reservations in urban areas priced at $1.25 per one-way ride and $3.00 per one-way ride in rural areas. For same-day reservations, the cost is $2.00 per one-way trip in urban areas and $3.75 per one-way trip in rural areas.
To access the Dial-A-Ride program, older adults are encouraged to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance to ensure availability. The program accepts various forms of payment, including cash and checks, providing flexibility for riders. When utilizing this transportation service, older adults can rely on Rides In Advance to help them plan their trips effectively and efficiently. Dial-A-Ride aims to support older adults in maintaining their independence and mobility by offering a reliable and accessible transportation option for their daily needs.
