Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
Volunteer Medical Rides is a non-emergency medical transportation program designed to assist older adults with getting to their medical appointments reliably and safely. This program offers transportation via taxi, ensuring flexibility and convenience for riders. Available as a public transit service, Volunteer Medical Rides requires riders to book their trips at least one day in advance, providing peace of mind and allowing for proper planning.
Participants in this program have the option to pay using insurance, vouchers, coupons, or Medicaid payments. While there is a membership fee and flat rate charges, individuals may qualify for a sliding scale fee based on their household income, making this service accessible to a wider range of older adults. Additionally, donations are encouraged to support the sustainability of the program.
Volunteer Medical Rides caters to the unique needs of older adults by offering private rides, paratransit services, and assistance with packages or bags. Whether traveling by car, bus, train, or van, riders can expect reliable and punctual transportation following fixed routes. Transportation is provided to residents of Roseville only. Trips outside of Roseville for medical appointments only. Service area is dependent on how far the volunteer drivers are willing to travel.
