The Public Transit program offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. This program caters to non-emergency medical transportation needs, providing access to taxi services for essential trips. Riders can schedule rides in advance, with pricing details that include a weekday rate with a 2-hour notice at $1.25, a weekday rate without notice at $2.50, and weekend & evening rates at $2.50. Additionally, group rates starting at $10 and transit passes for $25 are available for frequent travelers. Members of the Public Transit program can benefit from services such as private rides, assistance with packages, and the option to pay with insurance, vouchers, donations, or Medicaid payments. The program accepts various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, checks, and pre-payment. With on-demand scheduling and shared rides, older adults can efficiently reach their destinations via car, bus, train, or van. Door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services are provided, ensuring a comfortable and accessible travel experience. Additionally, riders are allowed to bring service animals along for their journeys.
