The Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) is a program designed to provide older adults who are veterans with free transportation through shared van rides. Riders are encouraged to schedule their rides a few days in advance, allowing for efficient planning and coordination. One of the key benefits of this program is that it is free of charge, making it a cost-effective option for older adults who may have limited transportation options. Additionally, riders utilizing the VTS program are permitted to bring their service animals along for the journey, ensuring that individuals with disabilities are accommodated and can fully utilize the transportation service.
