The Volunteer Driver Program offers older adults a convenient and flexible transportation option by connecting them with volunteer drivers. Clients can schedule shared rides via car or van, ensuring they can reach their desired destinations in a timely manner. The program operates on a donation basis, where clients receive a monthly letter suggesting a donation amount based on their income. This system allows for a fair and accessible pricing structure tailored to individual financial circumstances.
To utilize the Volunteer Driver Program, older adults are required to schedule their rides a few days in advance. This advance notice ensures that drivers can accommodate as many requests as possible, providing reliable transportation services to clients. Whether paying by check or cash, clients have the flexibility to choose their preferred payment method for the convenience of their transactions.
