Riders can arrange private rides via taxi or car, as well as utilize buses or trains for shared transportation. The program accommodates various payment methods including insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid payments, with pricing starting at $30.00 per round trip plus $3.00 per mile.
To access the program, riders can schedule rides in advance, ranging from one day to one week, based on their needs. Door-to-door and curb-to-curb services are available, ensuring convenient pick-up and drop-off locations. Additionally, riders can request assistance with packages or bags and are welcome to travel with their service animals. The program also offers a unique feature where a driver can wait for the passenger during errands or appointments, providing extra flexibility. With the option for on-demand scheduling, credit card payments, and a membership fee structure, the Transportation Service program aims to meet the diverse transportation needs of older adults in the community.
