Public Transportation is a convenient and reliable public transit program designed to meet the transportation needs of older adults and other community members. The program offers a flat fee structure making it affordable for all individuals. Regular fare is set at $5.00, with a discounted rate of $3.00 for eligible participants, and further reduced to $2.50 for TAP participants. Additionally, children under 5 and disabled veterans can ride for free, ensuring inclusivity for all. Payment for the program can be made by check or in cash, allowing for flexibility in how riders choose to pay. Pre-payment options are also available for added convenience. Public Transportation operates on fixed routes, providing shared rides along a set schedule for consistency and efficiency. Riders can expect curb-to-curb transportation services, accommodating those with service animals. By utilizing Public Transportation, older adults can access safe and accessible transportation to meet their daily travel needs.
