Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you have a disability, or you have no other means of transportation.
The Transportation Program is a wonderful service aimed at assisting older adults with their transportation needs. This program operates on a donation basis, allowing older adults to access reliable transportation via car at no cost. While the service is free of charge, there is a suggested donation of $5.00 for those who are able to contribute.
To utilize this program, older adults are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days before their planned trip. This ensures that the team behind the Transportation Program can accommodate all requests and provide a timely and efficient service. When booking a ride through this program, it is important to keep in mind the 'Rides In Advance' policy, which helps streamline the scheduling process and ensures that every older adult receives the assistance they need.
Overall, the Transportation Program is a valuable resource for older adults who may face challenges with accessing transportation. Whether it's a medical appointment, a social outing, or a trip to the grocery store, this program is dedicated to supporting older adults in maintaining their independence and staying connected to their communities.
