With a focus on providing accessible public transit, this program allows older adults to schedule their rides at least one day in advance, ensuring a seamless experience. Pricing for this program is flexible, with a standard fare of $2.25 per one-way trip during rush hour, $1.75 per one-way trip during non-rush hours, and a reduced rate of $0.75 per one-way trip for older adult or disabled riders.
In addition to accepting insurance, vouchers, coupons, and donations, this program provides options for payment including Medicaid, checks, pre-payment, credit cards, and cash, making it easy for older adults to utilize the service. The program offers a range of features such as paratransit services, transportation via bus or train, and shared rides, catering to the diverse needs of older adults. With a user-friendly approach that includes on-demand scheduling, door-to-door transportation, and the option for riders to bring service animals, the Public Transportation program is designed to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults in the community.
