The Transportation Assistance Program is a versatile option for individuals seeking non-emergency medical transportation services. This program caters to older adults by allowing them to schedule rides a day in advance to ensure timely service. Payment for rides can be made through insurance, vouchers, or donations, with a membership or flat fee option available for convenience. For those over 60 years old, rides are offered at no cost, while others, including handicapped individuals, can access rides for a nominal fee per one-way trip. This program is inclusive, accepting Medicaid payments and offering paratransit services, ensuring that riders with varying needs are accommodated. With additional perks such as assistance with packages, door-to-door transportation, and the option for shared rides, this program is designed to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults in the community.
