The Transportation Assistance Program offers accessible and affordable transportation options for older adults in the community. With a focus on convenience and safety, this program provides rides to various destinations within a seven-mile radius for general travel and extends the limit to a 10-mile radius for medical appointments. Utilizing a user-friendly booking system, older adults can schedule their rides at least one week in advance to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off. The program prioritizes the comfort of older adults by offering curb-to-curb transportation services via a van. To participate in the program, riders can contribute a nominal fee of $1 each way, which can be conveniently paid using a credit card or cash. Additionally, the program gratefully accepts donations to support its ongoing services and outreach efforts. By promoting independence and mobility, this program aims to enhance the quality of life for older adults in the community through reliable and affordable transportation options.
