The ADA Paratransit Services program provides accessible transportation for individuals with disabilities or mobility limitations. This program offers non-emergency medical transportation through taxis, ensuring older adults can reach their medical appointments or run errands. To utilize this service, riders must schedule their trips at least one day in advance, allowing for efficient planning. Payment options for this program include insurance coverage, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments. Riders can benefit from a flat fee of $3.00 per one-way trip, making this program cost-effective and convenient. Additionally, the ADA Paratransit Services program offers private rides and assists riders with packages or bags as needed. The program ensures inclusivity by allowing service animals to accompany riders during their journeys. Whether it's a doctor's appointment, grocery shopping, or visiting loved ones, this program provides reliable transportation through a network of taxis and ensures older adults can maintain their independence and mobility.
