Berrien Bus Public Transportation is a public transit program that offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults and individuals with disabilities in the community. The program provides two types of services: demand response and flex route.
For demand response service, riders can schedule shared rides a few days in advance for a standard fare of $5.00, or $2.50 for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Alternatively, the flex route service offers transportation on a fixed schedule for a standard fare of $2.50, or $1.25 for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Riders can pay for their trips with cash or check, and service animals are welcome on board. Berrien Bus Public Transportation offers curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring that riders can safely and comfortably reach their destinations. By providing accessible and reliable transportation options, this program helps older adults maintain their independence and stay connected to their community.
Service Area
Berrien Bus is a nonurban system that provides transportation to all areas of Berrien County not served by dial-a-ride service areas. Transportation is provided to and from Benton Harbor, Niles, New Buffalo, Buchanan, coloma, and Waterliet.
