FlexRide is a versatile transportation program catered to older adults seeking non-emergency medical transportation services. Operating as a public transit service, FlexRide offers convenient rides via taxi, car, or van, ensuring dependable transportation options for individuals requiring assistance with their mobility needs. Riders have the flexibility to schedule rides at their convenience, with options for on-demand or advanced booking available, including the choice to have a dedicated driver wait during appointments or errands. In terms of payment, FlexRide accommodates various methods including insurance, vouchers, donations, and credit card payments, making it accessible and convenient for a wide range of users. With a membership fee or flat fare structure, the program also extends affordability to its riders. Additionally, FlexRide caters specifically to individuals with Medicaid, providing a reliable and cost-effective transportation solution for those in need. Ensuring a comfortable and inclusive travel experience, FlexRide offers door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, allowing passengers to bring along service animals as needed. Service Area

The FlexRide-East service area is temporarily expanded to serve areas formerly served in Ypsilanti Township by Route 45 east of Harry St. and by Route 46 south of the Ypsilanti District Library-Whittaker Rd. FlexRide-East also provides a direct connection to the Ypsilanti Transit Center. The FlexRide-West service area is temporarily expanded to service areas formerly served in Scio and Pittsfield Townships by Routes 26, 27, 29 and 30 and by Route 33 in Ann Arbor. FlexRide-West service north of M-14 also provides a direct connection to Route 32 at the Miller Rd. Park & Ride lot.
