The Volunteer Transportation program offers older adults the opportunity to arrange private rides for their transportation needs within a 15-mile service area. For a flat fee of $12.00, older adults can enjoy a round trip to their desired destination. The program allows riders to bring along packages or bags during their trips. To utilize this service, older adults are required to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance, with the option to pay by check or pre-pay for their convenience. It is recommended to schedule transportation at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. The Volunteer Transportation program provides curb-to-curb transportation, adding an extra layer of assistance for older adults needing reliable and personalized transportation options.
