Participants can utilize NEMT services by making arrangements ahead of time, typically requiring a few days' notice.
NEMT accepts various forms of payment, including insurance and Medicaid, ensuring affordability for those utilizing the service. Whether traveling to appointments in a car or van, NEMT provides a comfortable and reliable transportation option. For specific pricing details and payment methods, individuals can contact the program directly for more information.
When scheduling a ride through NEMT, it is recommended to plan ahead, especially for out-of-state appointments, which may require at least 7 days' notice. For local ride requests, it is advised to schedule transportation at least 2 business days in advance. NEMT offers curb-to-curb transportation, prioritizing the safety and convenience of older adults traveling to and from their medical appointments.
