Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability.

The Van Transportation Program offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults in various zones. The program features a flat fee structure with different pricing tiers based on the destination. For example, rides within the local Winthrop Area are free, while trips to locations such as Planet Fitness in East Boston or Revere MGH require a $5 fee. For destinations like Stop & Shop in the Suffolk Downs area, the cost is also $5, and rides to Beth Israel in Chelsea are priced at $7. Other zones have varying fees, with the maximum charge being $16. To utilize this service, older adults are required to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance. The program offers shared van rides and accepts cash payments from riders. When booking transportation through the Van Transportation Program, passengers should plan ahead by scheduling their rides at least two weekdays in advance. Additionally, the program provides curb-to-curb transportation for the convenience and comfort of its passengers.
