Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Senior Transportation program offers convenient and reliable non-emergency medical transportation to older adults. This public transit program provides rides via taxi and ensures that older adults can access necessary medical appointments or run errands. Riders can schedule their transportation at least one day in advance and can pay using various methods, including insurance, vouchers, donations, or a membership fee. This program also offers private rides and accepts Medicaid payments.
In addition to providing transportation via taxi, this paratransit program offers door-to-door service, ensuring that older adults can easily reach their destinations. The program allows for on-demand scheduling and provides assistance with packages or bags. Moreover, riders can opt for shared rides or transportation via van, following fixed routes or charging by the mile. With options for payment including cash, check, credit card, or pre-payment, older adults can choose the method that works best for them. The program prioritizes older adults' independence and convenience, offering a range of services to meet their transportation needs.
