This program utilizes taxis and public transit to provide rides, with the option to schedule transportation at least one day in advance. Riders have the flexibility to pay using insurance, vouchers, donations, or credit cards. Membership and flat fees may apply, depending on the services utilized. The program caters to older adults' needs by offering private rides, assistance with packages, and accommodating service animals.
Additionally, Senior Transportation operates as a paratransit service, ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The program may involve shared rides, on-demand scheduling, and transportation via car, van, bus, or train. Door-to-door and curb-to-curb services are available, and drivers are willing to wait for passengers during errands or appointments. Whether traveling short distances within the community or longer distances, older adults can rely on the Senior Transportation program for safe and tailored transportation solutions.
